Text Messaging Program

Viravance LLC · Last updated

This page describes the text messages sent by Viravance LLC (“Viravance”) through the AI front desk it provides to businesses: who receives texts, how they agree to them, what the messages say, and how to stop them.

1. What we send, and to whom

Viravance runs an AI front desk for businesses. It answers customers' chats and phone calls, and can book appointments and take orders. When a customer has just contacted a business this way and asks for something to be texted to them, the front desk sends a short, one-time, transactional text on that business's behalf. The text names the business.

We send texts only in reply to a customer's own request. We do not send marketing or promotional messages, we do not send to purchased or scraped lists, and we do not text anyone who has not just asked us to.

2. How people agree to receive texts

A customer starts the conversation themselves: they type in the chat on a business's website, or they call the business's phone number. During that conversation, the assistant offers to text them what they need and asks for permission and the right number.

Example, by phone. Caller: “Can I order the large box?” Assistant: “Yes. To enter your name and address securely, I can text you a short form. Is this the best number to text?” Caller: “Yes, that's fine.” The text is sent only after the caller agrees.

Example, in chat. Visitor: “Can you send me the link to pay?” Assistant: “Sure. What mobile number should I text it to?” Visitor: “555-010-0100.” The text is sent to the number the visitor typed.

Agreeing to a text is never a condition of buying anything. Customers can decline and use another way, such as entering details in the chat.
