Be found in search, and in the answers AI gives
We build custom websites, and keep improving them if you want, so customers find your business in Google, in local results and in the answers AI assistants give. Every project is quoted by hand. You can take the site over when it's done, or keep us on retainer.
SEO and GEO, in plain words
SEO is making your pages easy for search engines to find, rank and list. GEO, short for generative engine optimization, is making your business easy for AI assistants and AI search answers to understand and cite. Good structure, clear writing and accurate facts help both, but they aren't the same job: one 2026 eMarketer report found that fewer than 10% of the sources cited by ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot ranked in Google's top 10 for the same query.
Evidence on what makes an AI assistant cite a site is still developing, and many of the people selling GEO are vendors. So we stick to what we can see and check: a site that states plainly what you do, backs it with structured facts, answers real customer questions, and can actually be read by crawlers. We don't promise a ranking or a citation, because nobody can.
What we do
A custom site built to be read
Fast, clean pages with one clear heading, plain-language copy, a sitemap and mobile-first layout, so search engines and visitors both understand each page.
Technical SEO
Titles, descriptions, canonical addresses, robots and sitemap files, and no pages that accidentally hide from search. We check them on the live site, not only in the design.
Local SEO
Your business type, address, phone and hours stated the same way everywhere, structured local business data, and guidance on your Google Business Profile. Location pages only where we can say something true and useful about the place.
Structured data
Your business, products, services and FAQs written as schema.org data. It states your facts in a form search engines and AI assistants can read without guessing.
Content that answers customers
Real questions with clear, quotable answers: FAQs, guides and service pages written for the people searching, not for a keyword count.
AI-answer readiness (GEO)
Content in the page itself instead of hidden behind scripts, AI crawlers allowed when you want them, plain statements of what you do, and an optional llms.txt summary.
Measurement
Search Console and first-party analytics reviewed monthly, so you can see what changed and what moved, in plain numbers.
How a project works
- 1. Audit. We start with a review of your current site and your Search Console data. You can try the free checker first to see the common gaps.
- 2. Plan and quote. We agree on what your site needs, in order of importance, and quote it by hand for its size and complexity.
- 3. Build. A custom website with the structure, content and technical foundations above built in, tested on the live site.
- 4. Hand it off, or keep improving it. You can take full control of the site, or keep us on retainer to add pages and products, work on SEO and GEO, and review results with you each month.
Sites we've built
National Service Animal Registry
A registry and resource site for emotional support, service and therapy animals. Visitors can take a qualifier quiz, compare registration and ID kits, browse vests and tags, read rights and training guides, use a free verification page, and find a self-training hub for service dogs.
CallByrd
A service where people call an AI friend from any US phone number instead of using an app. Visitors can sign up for free minutes and buy minute bundles, and the site explains how the service works.
Chilhowee Motorcycle Leather
A family-run maker of hand-crafted custom motorcycle leather in Tennessee. The site has a shoppable catalog, a "Find leather that fits my bike" tool, custom quote requests, care guides, reviews and order and quote accounts.
Stigall Bladeworks
A one-smith custom knife shop in Colorado. The site shows recent builds, explains the four-stage making process, keeps a journal, and takes custom quote requests.
We also hold our own site to the same checks. When we audited viravance.com in October 2026, all 75 pages in our sitemap loaded correctly, named a canonical address, had one main heading and carried structured data. That is a point-in-time check, not a promise about rankings.
Common questions
What's the difference between SEO and GEO?
SEO is making your pages easy for search engines to find, rank and list. GEO, generative engine optimization, is making your business easy for AI assistants and AI search answers to understand and cite. They overlap, since clear structure and accurate facts help both, but they aren't the same. One 2026 eMarketer report found that fewer than 10% of the sources cited by ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot ranked in Google's top 10 for the same query.
Do you guarantee rankings or AI citations?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Rankings and AI answers depend on your competition, your authority and time, none of which we control. What we control is the quality of the site and the content, and we show you what we changed and what moved.
Do I own the website?
Yes. You can take the site over when it's finished, with full control, or keep us on retainer so we continue to run it and improve it. Either way it's yours.
What does a retainer include?
Ongoing work scoped to your site: adding pages, improving SEO and GEO, adding new products, fixing issues, and a regular review of your Search Console and analytics. We agree on what's included when we quote it.
How long does it take to see results?
A new or newly improved site usually takes months for search engines to trust and rank, and results vary by industry and competition. We won't give you a date. We'll show you what's been fixed and what's moving.
How much does it cost?
Every project is custom for its size and complexity, so we quote each one by hand. Tell us about your business and we'll send a quote.
