21 orders, $3,057, taken by an AI front desk
Most AI receptionists answer a question and hand you to a person. At one online store, ours takes the order, sends a secure payment link, and the paid order lands in the store's own system. Here are the real numbers from one recent month, and what they don't prove.
Figures from the client's Viravance dashboard, as of October 2026. One client, one month: results vary.

An online store with a custom-built website
The client is an online store with a custom-built website. Visitors choose a product and check out on the site. The client has asked not to be named, and has agreed to let us share its numbers. The same AI front desk is on the site's chat and on a phone line that answers around the clock.
The site is not on a store platform, so there was no plugin to install. The front desk sends a Stripe payment link, and the site's own Stripe webhook creates the order once it is paid.
Pay first, then the order lands in the store's own system
1. The customer asks
On the site's chat or by phone, at any hour. The assistant answers from the store's own information and helps them choose.
2. It takes the order
It confirms what they want and collects the details, then sends a secure payment link.
3. They pay on Stripe
Payment happens on Stripe's hosted page. Card numbers never touch Viravance.
4. The order is created
Once the payment clears, the order is created in the store's own system, so it appears where the team already works.
For stores on Shopify or WooCommerce, we have connectors that place the order in the store directly. They are newer, and we test each one with the owner before turning it on. For a custom site, the paid order is sent to the site's own address, signed so it can't be forged.
The share grew as the store used it
In its first three months, the share of the store's monthly sales driven by the front desk went from 0.4% to 5.2% to 6.7%. In a more recent month it was 13.0%.
What these numbers do and don't show
- They show what the front desk took. They count orders the AI assistant took and the customer paid for, out of the store's total revenue for the same period.
- They don't prove those sales would otherwise have been lost. Some customers who ordered through the assistant might have ordered on their own. We can't separate that.
- It's one store and one month. With 21 AI orders, the order-value gap ($146 against $117) could be partly chance. We haven't isolated why AI orders were larger, and we won't guess.
- Results depend on the business. Traffic, the catalog, and how many sales need a conversation all matter. Yours will differ, and you can try your own numbers in our free calculator.
What we can share
We can provide a dated screenshot of the dashboard figures above (the client is not named; we can say more privately where the client agrees), a walkthrough of how an order moves from chat to the store's system, and an interview with the founder.
